And the year is GONE!
Well, I can't believe my little baby is a year old. I remember so clearly the day he was born and I have loved being a mommy. It has been such a roller coaster ride of ups and downs, highs and lows, but it has all been worth it, every single moment. I love watching Brigham learn new things, new skills, and things that make him laugh or smile or wonder. He is such a truly happy little guy, even if he is sick or tired, it doesn't seem to take a whole lot to cheer him up. Being a mom has changed my life. I never thought that I could love a little someone so much! I love his little body and watching him learn how to use it. I love when he learns a new "trick" like clapping his hands or waving or clicking his tongue. The year has been full of changing diapers and cleaning floors and doing laundry and a million monotonous things that sometimes seem overwhelming. But it has also been full of silly smiles, and little giggles, and drying tears. I have gotten sloppy kisses and baby hugs and the sweetest cuddles. My life is no longer about me, but how I can teach this little boy to become a man of God. I want to make him happy and have him feel safe and so many other things. So, as this blog ends for the year, I have been so grateful to have time to ponder about the year that has past and all the many years that are to come. I will always be grateful for this little keepsake of my first little child, and I look forward to a million more memories to come!
