September 27, 2012 - The River!

Brigham had a terrible night so it was a crazy start to the day.  The upside was that all the kids (and therefore all the moms) napped at the same time!  It was glorious!  The we decided to take the kids out to the river.  It was a little later than I would have liked so Brigham was a little tired.  But he loved to be in the water (even though it was freezing) and the dirt.  Ethan had a blast too.  But we had some tired kids so we didn't stay all that long.  We took two naked boys home and threw them in the tubby again.  And now they are sleeping and the house is quiet and I should be in bed.  I am so grateful for my family who are all around me to be my friends and my support, who love my little guy as much as I do, and who are always there when I need them!

September 26, 2012 - Fire

We had another busy day.  Brigham has been a little cranky because he is a little sick and I think he's working on his upper teeth.  But he had an awesome afternoon nap so he was happy for our campfire supper.  He didn't have nearly as much fun as Ethan but he was all smiles on the grass.  He loves to be outside and checking things out.  Then we were all stinky so the boys had a tubby together.  They are such good cousins and the more interactive Brig becomes the more Ethan wants to have to do with him!

September 25, 2012 - To Grandmother's House We Go!

Hill and I packed up on Tuesday morning and hauled the kids down to Elnora.  The trip went surprisingly well.  I couldn't believe how good all the kids were. Brigham only slept for about 45 minutes totall but he was pretty happy, and Jaye held it together as long as she was sucking my finger!  We were here by noon and got the kids fed and settled.  Grandpa and Ethan played the afternoon away and then Pop Pop read stories to our boys.  I love how much my dad loves his little grandkids.  I can't wait until Brigham is older and can do all the stuff with Pop Pop that Ethan does!

September 24, 2012 - Another Monday

Mondays seem to be my least favorite days because my Joejoe goes back to work.  We went over to Hillary's and played in the basement for a bit.  Ethan and Brigham are both sick and have snotty noses so we didn't go for a walk.  I didn't do much else during the day.  We went for a couple of walks and hung out with daddy.  While we were getting ready for bed, Brig decided to do some tricks.  He hasn't figured out how to crawl of pull himself up yet, but he did some good standing today!

September 23, 2012 - CAKE!

Today was a good day!  We went to church and I went home after sacrament...again...to put Brigham to bed.  There is no way he can make it through all of church...so we're doing what works.  We went for a walk in the afternoon.  It was a beautiful day.  Then Hillary invited us over for a bite of cake.  Brigham went all out and had a blast!  I'm not sure that much of it actually got inside of him, but he had a good time.  So we gave them boys a bath and then headed home.  Pam and Luke came over for a movie and then it was off to bed!  I love this kid!

September 22, 2012 - Pooped Out

What a busy day.  Went back to the greenhouse with Hill so we could get her some plants.  Then I ended up helping her put them in and it took forever because she has a ton of rock.  I got a little time to play with Brigham and then I helped Joe out with the garage for a bit.  Then it was out to do another photo shoot for the Lee family.  I am exhausted and so is my little monkey!

September 21, 2012 - Gardening Day!

Brigham and I went to the greenhouse today.  I just went to see what was left from the dutch auction but I came home with a boatload of plants so brigham and I had some jobs to do.  He was a good little helper.  He loves to be outside and would much rather be sitting on the grass outside than on the carpet in the house. Anyway...we got it all put in and away before daddy got home.  And he didn't even notice!  Sometimes I wonder why I work so hard!

September 20, 2012 - Millwoods Town Center

Hillary and I took the kids over to MWTC today.  I had to get some more fabric before the sale was over.  Ethan played a little but the babies were losing it, so we went home early.  Brigham had a pretty messy lunch and missed tubby time yesterday so we had a long tubby this afternoon.  He sure LOVES his tubbies.  And I love watching him.  He has the funniest faces and I love to see him happy.  

September 19, 2012 - Normal Day

Just another day around the house.  I love that Brigham can sit all on his own now.  It makes it so much easier for me to have him around while I am doing work, whether in the kitchen or cleaning around the house or outside.  So today he was helping me in the kitchen.  As a reward he got to try a Swedish fish.  It went over pretty well!

September 18, 2012 - Back to Reality

Well, Brigham is back on track...crazily actually.  He slept in until 9:30 yesterday and 9:00 today.  I'm definitely not complaining.  So today we went out to fabricland to get some fabric for a christmas quilt.  He was a good little trooper while I went through ALL the fabric in the store!  He had a good nap in the middle of the day and then we went and played with Tanya and Hazel and Jude.  I am so glad to be making friends with her because she lives so close.  We got Brigham a sleep sack because it's starting to get cold but he still moves around so much.  Doesn't he look cute?

September 17, 2012 - Back Home!

It is always so good to be home.  Brigham got up at 6:00 and I was sooo not ready for him to be up so I fed him and put him back down and he slept until 9:30!  Wow. So we went and played at Hill's for the morning and then I worked on editing photos while he had a nap.  Then we worked hard to try to get stuff put away and cleaned up before daddy got home so it looked like we did something.  Made a little trip to Winner's for a sleep sack and got Brig a new story book with lots of noises!  He loved reading it with daddy!

September 16, 2012 - Mr Crabby Pants

We got home to mom and dad's last night, though Brigham was super grouchy.  But the grouchiness continued today so I was grateful that we didn't have to drive the whole way.  Brigham was up early and joe gave me a little break because I was up all night with the cranky!  We took him out for a walk but it was a little chilly and we didn't have any of his warm stuff.  So, he got quite the get up.  As soon as we got home I had to run out for a photo shoot with the Aubichons.  Such a cute family.  I tried out my new lens and learned a few things, made a few mistakes, but I got some good shots!

September 15, 2012 - Kate and Bobby Get Hitched!

Today was the big wedding day!  Kate looked beautiful and her and Bobby were both beaming.  I am so happy for both of them.  Brigham was a pretty good little trooper.  He had a good nap while we were in the temple and then he was pretty good for pictures.  Joe stayed home with him while he napped in the afternoon and missed the luncheon.  What a good hubby.  My little man was such a cutie.  In other news, Joe got his new suit that we got Jordan to make and he looked smokin'!  I am so lucky to have such cute guys in my life!

September 14, 2012 - Driving to Cardston...

I feel like all we have done is drag Brigham around the countryside in the back of the car.  I think he is feeling the same way.  We spent the morning getting ready and the rest of the day driving to Cardston.  Brig did have one little nap, looking so cute as he did, but the rest of the drive was tough.  I drove and Joe entertained Brigham for me.  But by the time we rolled into Cardston, we were ready to get out of that car...all of us!

September 13, 2012 - T-Minus Two Days

Mom and Kaitlin took off last night to Elnora and headed to Cardston today to get ready for the big event.  I finally have the boards and invites and placecards and decorations ALL done.  it felt weird not to have anything to do.  So I spent the day with my little man just hanging out at home.  He is a blast to have, and everyday is a new adventure with him.  I love that he discovers something new all the time.  Oh my little boy is growing up!

September 12, 2012 - Jobs with Mom and Dad

Joe is still working on the garage.  I feel so bad for him because he is always out there by himself.  So Brigham and I went out to help for a bit.  We gave Brigham some noisy house paper and he was happy for quite a while.  After Brig went to bed Joe and i were able to make some headway on the soffit.  I'm sure proud of him for all he has accomplished and I am so grateful for a happy boy who lets us get things done when we really need to!

September 11, 2012 - Helping in the Garden

We went over to Hillary's to help her frame in her garden this morning.  It was pretty cold out so we had to borrow a snowsuit from auntie hilly.  Needless to say, Brigham was not impressed.  We thought it was pretty funny though.  We got the garden all framed and tilled and transplanted the raspberries.  I think we did a pretty good job!

September 10, 2012 - Showhomes

One of my favorite timewasters these days is to go to showhomes and look around.  I love getting ideas and dreaming of a perfect little house one day.  Joe puts up with me and Brigham enjoys getting out of the house. He has also started "walking"  He loves to move around and hasn't mastered the crawling yet, so whenever I can walk with him, he is super happy!

September 9, 2012 - Tired Boy

My little man hasn't been sleeping really well during the day and so by the time we get to the end of the day he is exhausted.  He was a happy little helper in my room this morning, but by supper time he was blitzed!  He couldn't even move his eyes...just stared off into space while we fed him.  Poor tired guy...just take a nap!

September 8, 2012 - Farmer Brig

My two little men went outside for a bit today and Joe got some pictures of my little farmer.  Brig loves to be outside and sit in the grass and play with the fuzzies.  He could be sitting in the house and miserable and if you take him outside and sit him on the grass and he is happy as a clam.

September 7, 2012 - Teethies

Brigham has two teeth now and has for about a month.  They're finally in enough to see them quite well.  So we tried to get some pictures, which did not go as well.  He'll bite your finger off in a heartbeat, but opening up to get a picture is a rare event.  Here was a few tries!

September 6, 2012 - Messy Man

Brigham is eating more and more foods all the time.  I usually give him a few finger food at first for him to play with, and then we get down to business with the mush.  But he is really interested in feeding himself, and so it doesn't always go so smoothly.  He wants his fingers and his face in everything.  Makes for a bit of a mess somedays, but I try to remember it is helping him to learn!

It's been a little tough with my little man these past few days.  I think he's teething again and he hasn't been napping much.  So he (via daddy) got me some flowers and a cute note just to brighten my day!

September 5, 2012 - Goofy Pants (head)

Every day is an adventure with my little man.  Some adventures are fun and some are a little crazy.  I have been super busy trying to get some stuff done for Kate's wedding and with Brigham being a little weird on his naps lately, trying to find time has been more than a little hard.  But when he's happy, there's nothing like it and I know that all the tough times are worth it.

September 4, 2012 - Playing with Dad

Mr Monkey is getting a lot better at sitting and so he is a lot more fun to play with.  He loves to grab at toys (and arm skin, and noses, and hair) and he is a strong little guy.  I love watching my boys play together and I am so grateful that Joe is the kind of dad that loves to get down and play with his little boy.  He is so involved with Brigham, even when it's not the fun stuff.  I am such a lucky lady.
