May 24, 2012 - Passport Office

Finally went to go take Brigham's passport application in to the office.  Turns out Joe's is almost due too, so we took his in as well.  Kind of a long wait and it turns out Joe didn't even need to come, I could have submitted it all for him.  He was a little agitated because it was a busy day at work, but we got through it all okay.  Long night at home, Joe went to the temple tonight for young men's.  But I got some cute pictures of my sweet little man.  He is the best little guy in my life.  And I have a great husband, and so many blessings.  Life is hard, but life is good.  All is well.

May 23, 2012 - New Toy!

Brigham loves his jumper but most of his other toys seem to have lost their appeal.  So we had our good friend Lindsey give us an old exersaucer that she wasn't using anymore.  Daddy put it together and away we went!  He seems to like it and I think as he gets bigger and can spin around in it it will get even better.  Ethan came to play for a bit too while Hill went for a massage.  He had a blast doing painting and washing and pictures and all sorts of stuff.  He is such a good little guy and I love having him come over!

May 22, 2012 - Back to the Daily Routine

Joe had to go back to work today.  BooHoo.  And it poured rain today.  Couldn't go outside or anything.  Made for a pretty boring day and my babe was a little cranky.  But he practiced some rolling today!  He can roll from front to back pretty easily now, and he gets half way from back to front.  I'm going to have to keep a closer eye on his from now on!  He even starts to roll in the bathtub!  Such a cutie!

May 21, 2012 - Holiday Monday!

It was so nice for Joe to be home again today.  We devoted the day to working on the yard.  We went out to salisbury greenhouses in the morning and got a few plants.  Then we went to whitemud greenhouses in the afternoon and got some shrubs and edging.  Joe has worked so hard to make our yard look beautiful.  I love that the deck is gone and I have a little garden!  I planted the garden too, though I feel like nothing is going to grow.  I guess we'll have to wait and see!  We also went and looked at new carseats for Brig.  He's getting too big!

May 20, 2012 - Crazy Sunday

Sunday is always such a hard day.  Brigham slept for about 40 minutes for his first nap and about 5 minutes for his second nap.  Made for one grumpy litle boy!  I am trying to get over the need to be so scheduled with him and just go with the flow, but it's a little difficult sometimes.  Kate and Bobby came over for a bit and visited and ate our food!  We always tease them but I am glad that they come and feel comfortable here. 

May 19, 2012 - Another Day on Our Own

Well, Joe was gone all day and Katie left early in the morning.  I sure miss waking up next to my sweetheart.  We had a good morning just hanging out and then we went for a picnic and Cousin Ethan's.  It was kind of a crappy day out so we had a carpet picnic.  Ethan thought it was great anyway!  We tried feeding Brig some rice cereal again tonight and he really took to it!  He was just munching it down like a pro.  And then he had a lot of fun with the spoon...even took it into the tubby after.  Joe got home after I was in bed, but it was good to feel him snuggle up as I drifted off to sleep.

May 18, 2012 - Friday

Joe had to head out after work to go to Cold Lake to help at his grandparents house, so Brig and I were on our own.  Fortunately, Aunt Katie came over.  It was nice to have some company and to have someone else in the house at night.  I went out and got some groceries while Brig was sleeping and it is so much easier to do on my own!  Haha...otherwise it was a pretty normal day.  We went for a walk and cleaned the house and just hung out, just me and my boy.

May 17, 2012 - Cousins

We had a good day playing with Aunt Hilly and Ethan today.  They came over in the morning and then we went to their house in the afternoon. Ethan is a good helper and likes to play with Brig a lot.  I think he is going to be a great big brother in a couple of months!

May 16, 2012 - Massage Day!

Joe got me a massage for mother's day so I got to go have a nice morning massage this morning while Peggy watched Brigham. Of course we had to visit after, so we spent the morning there and had a good visit. I am so grateful for all my good friends. Brigham slept for 3 hours this morning! I have no idea what to do about this kids schedule! What a crazy little guy. We went out for a walk when we got home. It's hot out! Yahoo! Spent some more time with Daddy when he got home. What an awesome little family I have.

May 15, 2012 - A Day Outside

Had a bit of a boring morning at home, but we went out to the park with a bunch of mommies in the afternoon. It was a little windy, but all in all, a nice day. I love getting together and just chatting with the moms. It's nice to know that everyone has some of the same struggles and concerns that you do. And it's comforting to know that no one else knows what they're doing either! We hung out with dad in the sunshine while he laid sod after supper and then we went to the nursery to pick out some plants for our yard. What a fun day! It's so nice that the weather is warming up and we can head out more often.

May 14, 2012 - Visiting Day

Well, went on a few visits today. Some days I am pretty content with just hanging out at home. Today was not one of those days. I was just a little stir crazy. So in the morning, Brigham and I took Mac for a walk over to our friend Tanya's house. She just had a new little baby boy, Jude, and so we went for a quick visit. We took her some movies and treats and had a quick visit. Jude is so tiny, I can hardly believe Brigham used to be that small! Then we came home and had naps and in the afternoon we went over to our friend Lindsey's house. Linds has a little guy, Cooper, that is just a few months older than Brigham. We had a great visit and caught up. And I can already see some good little friends in the making!

May 13, 2012 - Mother's Day

What a special day. My first mother's day as a mommy. I had two great boys that made it so special for me. I am so truly grateful to be a mother. I have moments of fatigue, confusion, heartache, monotony, frustration, and a million other tough emotions. BUT, every one is overcome by a smile, a giggle, a peaceful sleeping face, a content full baby, a stretch, a yawn, his fuzzy hair, bathtub splashes, tiny clothes, little hands, and sloppy kisses. Being amom is hard work, but I can't think of anything I have done in my life that is more rewarding or more important. How grateful I am for this huge blessing in a perfect little package!

May 12, 2012 - Saturday is a Special Day

Well, we were pretty much alone today. Joe spent a LOT of time working in the yard today. He ripped out our deck that took up the whole back yard and build me a garden box. I am so excited to plant a garden this year. It was a really nice day so Brig and I went outside and visited daddy a lot. It was really nice. I am so proud of Joe for all that he knows how to do and I am grateful that he works so hard for our little family!

May 11, 2012 - Happy Birthday Uncle Ben!

Just another Friday at home.  Brig was a little crabby today from his shots.  I had totally forgotten about it when I changed his diaper in the morning, but he sure let me know when I pulled his leg out of his jammies that he was not happy about it!  But with a little tylenol and a lot of cuddles, we got through the day. 

May 10, 2012 - Shots

Brigham had to go and get his 4 month shots today.  So sad!  I have been dreading it for two or three days.  I think it's harder for me than it is for him!  He did really well though.  He gets stinkin' mad during it, but he calms down pretty quickly and with a little tylenol he had a pretty normal day.  He's about in the 75th percentile, so he is growing well and hitting most of his milestones.  Everyone says he seems like such a happy baby, and they're right.  I am so glad that he is the baby that he is, and we love our little boy!

May 9, 2012 - Passport

Today we went and got passport photos done for Brigham's passport.  We are thinking about going down to the states this summer and I might end up flying with him, so we are getting him a passport.  After about fifty pictures we did get one that we printed off.  Hopefully they'll accept it.  Brigham did really well and they turned out pretty cute I think!

May 8, 2012 - Tubbies!

Well, Brigham has always liked tubbies, but I think he does even more now.  He loves to splash around and I got some great video of him.  I am so glad to be able to take video and pictures every now and then.  I love looking at the pictures of me growing up and I wish there was video, so I hope that one day he will have as much fun watching it as I do.  Cindy came by to visit tonight too and got some good laughs out of Brigham.  He is such a happy kid!

May 7, 2012 - Heading Home

Joe went home Sunday night and I came back with mom on Monday afternoon.  We came back to help Kate with her wedding invitations which was fun and I think they are going to turn out great.  We got to help Gramma do jobs in the morning and this was the result.  I am so grateful for my family who are always willing to see us and help us out.  What a truly blessed little girl I am.

May 6, 2012 - Look at that Face

Joe forgot his Sunday clothes and so he stayed home from church with Brigham.  It was weird not to have my boys with me, but it was nice to go to church and have a little time to focus and get some inspiration from the spirit.  Then we just hung out in the afternoon and we grabbed some cute pictures.  I sure love this little face.

May 5, 2012 - Playing with Cousins

This picture was taken by Ethan!  Saturday was a crappy day weatherwise.  No more shoot to the moon!  Ethan is a good cousin and likes to play with Brigham a little here and there.  I can't wait until Brigham is a little bigger and will just trail along after his big cousin. 

May 4, 2012 - Shoot to the Moon!

Dad found an old rocket at home and fixed it up a little for Ethan.  I had some paints there and so Ethan spent the day hauling that rocket around or painting it.  It was pretty hard to get him to leave it alone long enough to let the paint dry.  He kept saying "Pop pop, rocket, shoot to the moon!"  It was hilarious!  Just the cutest thing.  So we finally took it out to the fields and "shoot to the moon!"  Brigham didn't quite get it, but Ethan loved it!  He could see it go all the way up and then he would chase it to where it fell down.  I think we have a new favorite thing to do at Pop-Pops. 

May 3, 2012 - Going to Visit Gramma and Pop-Pop

I had been needing a little change of scenery and Hillary and Mike were planning on going to Mom and Dads so I decided to head down there too.  I love going to visit.  It's nice to catch up with my mom and dad.  It's nice to have a change of scenery and some company during the day.  Joe surprised me by coming down Thursday night so we got to have a nice long weekend together with my family. 

May 2, 2012 - Just Hangin Around

Just another day at home.  Brigham loves loves loves his jumper!  Every now and then I put the little mirror in front of him and he likes to check himself out.  I'm not sure who he thinks that little guy is, but he always smiles when he sees himself in the mirror.  Such a funny guy!

May 1, 2012 - Happy Birthday to Uncle Jay!

We had a good day today.  Nothing too exciting, but we got to call Uncle Jordan on Skype this afternoon and wish him a happy birthday.  We also found a new trick that Brigham likes that we got to show him.  It's amazing what you will do to your kids when you are bored!  Hahaha...I sure love this little guy.  He is a pretty laid back little baby and always good for a laugh!
