December 28, 2012 - Happy First Birthday Brigham!
I can't believe my boy is one! I had to go to work today, but Joe took the day off to watch Brig so they got to have a boys day while mommy was at work. Joe took Brigham swimming for his birthday, but my poor little boy was so sick that Joe said he was falling asleep in the floaties at the pool! I was feeling pretty sick at work too but we all got through the day. Sadly there wasn't too much celebration because we were all so sick and tired but it was a special day all the same. I got to have some time to snuggle my sick little boy when I got home and reflect on the year.

December 27, 2012 - Back to Work!
Well, I don't have a job yet, but I told Rem I would take a couple of days for him over Christmas, so 1 day before Brig's first birthday, I went back to work. I had a wicked cold and was super stuffed up. I really wasn't feeling all that well and so it wasn't an ideal day to go back, but once I got some meds in me and got moving, it was an okay day. It was mostly like riding a bike and wasn't too tough to get back into it. It was weird to be away from my boy though. Mom and Dad watched him in the morning and then Katie watched him in the afternoon. It was tough to come home and be tired and sick and want to crawl into bed and still have to be a mom, but the smile on my little guys face always makes it worth it! We opened his birthday present from Gramma and Pop pop. He got some books and this cute soccer outfit from mexico! I love it and I think he looks so handsome in it!

December 26, 2012 - Boxing Day!
We had plans to do some winter activities today, but seeing as it was -25 and everyone was sick, we took a day off and holed up in the house instead. We traded nap times and ate and just tried to get better. We went to Hills again for a bit in the evening and did fondue. It was nice to get out of the house and visit a little and see mom and dad. It's been a weird Christmas season, to not be at mom and dad's and to have a little one and all those things. It was another early night!

December 25, 2012 - Merry Christmas!
It was such an awesome Christmas morning! Even though Brigham is young and we weren't sure what he was going to get out of it, we were excited to get up for Christmas morning. Brigham must have felt is was Christmas because he was up a little earlier than usual anyway. We opened our stockings, although Brigham wasn't too into his. He just kept pushing it away! Then we opened our presents. We tried to get Brigham into helping by ripping the paper, but he wasn't into that either. We got him a Tonka truck for Christmas and he did really enjoy pushing it back and forth. It makes a cool noise on our hardwood floor. Joe got me a great purse and a tubby caddy and a beautiful necklace. And I got him...tools! It was a really nice Christmas for our little family. We spent the rest of the day with Joe's family and came home exhausted and ready for a good sleep.

December 24, 2012 - Christmas Eve
Kind of a weird day. In the morning it just seemed kind of like a regular Saturday. I cleaned the house and Joe ran some errands with Brigham. Brig was a little sick still so we just tried to all get some rest once the jobs were done. We went to Hill and Mike's around 3:30 for Christmas Eve It was a bit of a crazy house with the kids and mom and dad were there. We didn't do anything really amazing or special. We ate a ton of appetizers and just visited. Then Hill's kids opened their pajamas for Christmas Eve. We went home in time to get Brigham to bed and then we watched Muppets Christmas Carol before we drifted off. Hard to believe Christmas is almost here!

December 23, 2012 - Sick Boys and Santa
Well I noticed a rash on Brigham yesterday evening and today it was worse. We went to church and halfway through sacrament meeting he fell asleep on my chest which he NEVER does. He had a good nap this morning and afternoon but he isn't eating much and has a fever and this rash. I've done some investigating and talking to moms and I don't think anything is really wrong with him. Santa came to the Suelzle's house for a bit so we went over to see what Brigham though of it. He wasn't too sure of it, but he wasn't screaming so he did okay. He had a rough night before he went down but once he was in bed, he was out. Then Joe and I went and delivered our secret santa stuff. It took a little doing bit because we could see the family in the front window but we managed to get the presents onto the doorstep and get out of the way before they saw us! The little girls answered the door and were just so excited screaming "presents"! It was adorable. I wish I could be a fly on the wall to see what they are doing. I am so glad we decided to do it. What a great way to end the sabbath!

December 22, 2012 - Getting Ready for Christmas
Just another day of trying to get things ready for Christmas. Joe was gone in the morning finishing up some Christmas presents. Then he took Brigham out in the afternoon while I finished up our secret santa stuff. Brigham isn't feeling his usual self and so he is my snuggly little guy. I am pretty much all ready to go for Christmas except I need to clean the house on Monday morning. Then we are hanging out with my fam and waiting for the big day. I am finally starting to get excited!

December 21, 2012 - Long Week
It feels like it has been a really long week. Hard to believe that only on Sunday did we decide to do Christmas and got the word that the Moir family needed some help. But I finally got everything put together and wrapped and labelled and organized. I feel like I need a nap. A long one! But we had a good day today. Brigham was up early and napped early and by noon I knew I was in for a long afternoon. So we went swimming. Totally out of the blue, but it was a perfect way to spend the afternoon. Brigham loves swimming a little more every time we go. He was crawling all over the place, even when it was too deep and his legs would start floating up! He floats on his back and lets me dunk him and he just learned to blow bubbles! He is just like his mommy! He had a great nap this afternoon and while I would have loved to join him, I finally got the stockings done. Joe took Brig out to run a few errands after supper and I started to clean up the disaster that has been our house for the past while. So we got a lot done today but I am wiped!

December 20, 2012 - Sick Day
Joe stayed home sick today. I let him sleep in and have a good nap in the afternoon, but it was nice to have him here so that I could run some errands without having to take Brig out in the cold. I also got a little nap in too! We worked some more on our Christmas for the Moirs, more wrapping and sorting. It was nuts, but I got through most of it! Brigham was my big helper. He likes to play with the rolls of wrapping paper. I tried to get the ones with paper out of the way and keep him busy with the empty ones. Joe taught him how to make noise in it, and so we got to listen to him playing his paper roll tuba! Katie came for a quick visit too. All in all, a good and busy day!

December 19, 2012 - Visiting
We had a busy day today. We hung out in the morning, organizing some of our gifts and washing clothes for the Moir family. In the afternoon we went and picked up some donations from some of our friends. I got two more bags of clothes and a big box of toys. A little more than I thought and I am a little overwhelmed. But I am washing clothes like crazy and washing toys and fixing dolly hair and I know that it will all be worth it. Lindsey gave some stuff from her sister for the older girls which was awesome! We had a nice visit and I am always glad when our little boys get together to play. Daddy came home sick in the afternoon and so we tried to let him get some rest, but he helped out with the Christmas project in the evening.

December 18, 2012 - Tired Momma
Brigham has been sleeping well since we started leaving him alone again. I didn't sleep well at all for some reason so I was a zombie today. I should have had a nap with Brig this morning but I didn't. I managed to do some errands this afternoon and Brigham was a good trooper for his momma. By the end of the day we were both a little tired. He looks about like I feel!
December 17, 2012 - Lazy Monday
I had a hard time getting myself into gear this morning so we had a pretty lazy morning. We are trying to get Brigham off the bottle so we are spending a lot of time with a cup. He likes his straw cups but he makes a big mess so we only do milk at meal times in the high chair. We are doing "secret santa" for a family in our ward and so we took Brigham out shopping to help get some presents. It's a tradition that we want to do every year and I think it is important to have the kids involved even before they know what's going on.
December 16, 2012 - Sunday Sunday
Just a normal Sunday today. Brig was up early and so sacrament meeting was a bit of a challenge. He does okay out in the hall but I want to try to keep him in the meeting as much as possible. Oh dear. W had a good nap and just had a lazy afternoon at home. Brig is starting to eat more real people food and he is starting to make real people messes! But how can you not love that messy face! Luke and Pam came over to watch the end of Survivor and then I was off to bed!
December 15, 2012 - Ward Christmas Party
We had a normal Saturday morning, just getting things done around the house. Brigham didn't have a great nap in the morning and so it was a long morning. Joe left in the afternoon to help set up for the party and fortunately Brigham had a good nap so I could get all of our stuff ready for the party. Our ward party was nice. We sat with the Whites and Rem and Peggy and had some time to chat with Amy and Landon. It was a good time just to visit and catch up an enjoy the dinner. The program was a little lacking, but I didn't mind. Brig had a good time just bombing around with his little buddies!

December 14, 2012 - Visit to the Old Folks
Well, we'd been home for all of about 15 hours and we headed out again. Auntie Joan is home from the hospital, and so we went out with mom and dad to visit Pat and Joan and see how they are doing. They had such a great time seeing Brigham romp around and get into things. We had a nice visit and I really enjoy keeping in touch with them. They have sort of become my adopted grandparents because my grandparents on that side are gone and they don't see much of their grandkids. Brigham did pretty well with the drive and had a good time. We took him to the mall after supper to run a couple of errands and he was just laughing and all smiles. I sure love that little guy!

December 13, 2012 - Headed Home
Well, we spent the morning at mom and dad's again. Brigham was much better today, much more like my normal little guy, getting into trouble and being busy. He had a nap and then we went out to Stacy's house to put up her vinyl apple tree that I made. It looked really good. The plan was for Brigham to have a nap on the way home, but he had other ideas. He was just pretty miserable all the way home and by the time we got home, I had had it. Fortunately I have a great mom who kept m sane. he went over to see Hillary and I cleaned house until Joe got home. What a day!

December 12, 2012 - A Better Day
Today Brigham felt a little better. He still has one more tooth to get through up there, but getting those two through made him feel a lot better. We just visited with mom most of the day and worked on some projects. I also taught Brigham to go up the stairs. It only took two tries and then it was his new favorite place to be. Unfortunately he hasn't figure out how to go down! Dad came home in the afternoon and it is always fun to watch him with Brigham. He sure loves his little grandkids. Brig had a better day but kind of a rough night. I got up with him and tried to give him a bottle but he didn't want it much. So I took him into my bed and he fell asleep on me, but when I moved to put him to bed he woke up. It was so sweet to have him sleeping on me, but I ended up having to rock him to sleep for a half hour. All part of being a mommy. So I am wiped out but it is a precious memory.

December 11, 2012 - In Misery
Brigham had a really rough day today. He had a fever for most of the day and cut two more teeth by the end of it. It was hard to see him so sad, but it was a little bit cute because he was so snuggly. He isn't really a cuddler, but he just clung to me and wouldn't let me go. It made for a long day but I was actually really glad to be at home so I could just visit with mom and hold my little boy.

December 10, 2012 - Busy Day!
Well, we had a crazy day today. We ran a few errands in the morning. Brigham was fine and we got a lot done. Then he had a nap and I got ready for my afternoon. I went and did my visiting teaching this afternoon. It was really nice to go and meet my new girls and my companion and start to get to know more people in our new ward. Brigham did not enjoy it though. He spiked a fever while we were out and was just such a sad little guy. He had a good nap afterwards and I got us all packed up and after supper we drove down to Elnora. He was a good little trooper and we made it just before bedtime!

December 9, 2012 - Rough Day
It was kind of a rough day today for Brig today. He was up a little early but we did make it off to church okay. He did fine for the first half of sacrament but Joe had to take him out for the second half. Apparently, they had a lot of fun with a window. What a goof! We came home and had a nap and when he woke up, he was so upset. I could not calm him down. He hadn't pooped in a couple of days, so after a half hour of crying, I gave him a suppository. Eventually it worked, and he had a couple of good poops over the afternoon. Joe also gave him a blessing and he was back to his normal self again. Rem and Peggy came over for dinner and did some family pictures for us too. Brig got a fever in the evening and he went down fine but he was really snuggly. I hope that he starts to feel okay because we are going to go to my parent's place on Tuesday! What a poor little guy today.

December 8, 2012 - Uncle Luke's Wedding
Today was Uncle Luke and Auntie Pam's big day! Joe and I went to the sealing in the morning and Auntie Kate came and babysat. We went over to Rem and Peggy's for a bit to take a few family pictures for them. Then we came home for Brigham's nap. Joe went over early to help with a few last minute things and I stayed home with Brig. He was furious when he woke up, not sure why, but he screamed forever, even in the tub. I finally got us on the way to the church. The gym looked amazing. We had a family dance and then a little reception after. Brigham had a blast just bombing around the gym and the hallways. He is moving like a maniac. He finally hit the wall around 730 and we came home. He went to bed without a peep! What a good little guy!

Joe took the day off to help set up for the wedding, so we had him home in the morning. It was nice just to have him home. Hill came over for a bit and so did Kaitlin. After lunch we went out to the gym to see how it was going and helped out for an hour or so. Then naps and supper. It was a pretty average day today. We went and played with Hill and just had a pretty normal day. Rem and Joe took the boys shopping at Lee Valley. So Peggy and I went out shopping on out own. It was fun to go out without Brigham, especially since he was being a bit of a beast. I got a few ideas of what to get for her. And I love when Joe takes Brig and just does daddy stuff with him and gives me a break!

December 5, 2012 - Went to Get a Tree
We had a great day today. Brig and I cleaned the house and did all the laundry before we even got to nap times. I was able to work on my resume and some job stuff while Brigham was sleeping. Then we went on a little adventure. We went and got a little tree yesterday and so today we borrowed a little red car and took some pictures. I think they turned out sooo sute, but I still need to photoshop them a little. Then we did errands with dad before bed. What a busy day!
December 4, 2012 - Haircut!
We went and played over at Tanya's for a couple of hours this morning. Brigham was so happy that we stayed an hour and a half past naptime! It was crazy. We had a bit of a crazy afternoon because he was all off schedule. But we made it until daddy got home and then we had reinforcements. After tubbys we decided to give Brig a little haircut. The hair at the back is a little long and he's getting these little wings, so we cut it! All three little snips of it! Hahaha...he was a really good sport too. He just watched his little show on the computer and sat really still!
December 3, 2012 - Monday Again!
Today was Brig's first morning with a Christmas tree and all the lights. He has been really good with the tree. We have a few little toys that he is allowed to pull off and he's not into a whole lot else. We hung out with Hill this afternoon. Joe got home later than usual so we just stayed at Hill's for supper and the boys had a tubby together. I think it is so cute that they love to play so much!

December 2, 2012 - Christmas is Here!
We put up all of our Christmas decorations today. After church and naps we got out all the stuff. We really don't have a whole lot but that makes it easy to get it all done. Over the years I am sure that I will gather more, especially now that I am getting so crafty. Brigham loved the lights. We put some lights in his room too. He "rode" the reindeer but I don't think he liked it too much. He was such a sweet little guy today. I can't believe he is almost a year old. I love watching him grow up and learn new things. He is crawling like a maniac and loves to get into anything that he can. I just watch him and I am amazed at how his little brain is working and all that. I just love him to bits.

December 1, 2012 - December!
Just a normal Saturday. Joe went and helped Luke and Pam move in the morning. Brigham and I played until he had naps and I had a long luxurious bath. We put up the Christmas tree in the afternoon and Brigham was pretty interested. He wasn't pulling on it as much as I would have thought. We went over to Hillary's for a little visit in the afternoon and then we just hung out at home in the evening. Not a very exciting day.

November 30, 2012 - Nativity
Well, this morning we went out to the nativity display in Sherwood Park. They did such a good job at having things there for kids. There was a little treasure hunt for the kids, so you have to find certain things in the nativity. Then they got a prize when they found everything. They had a little snack and a movie and treats. They also had a spot where the kids could dress up and take a picture of them in a nativity. So cute! Brigham had a good time crawling through the hallways! The rest of the day we just hung out at home as usual!

November 29, 2012 - Oh my Trouble Maker
Well, first it was the dishwasher and now it's the fridge. I was putting away groceries and he had to be right in there. He was getting rather annoyed that the door kept closing on him! We went out to the mall in the afternoon and wet to the toy store. Of all the things Brig could have played with, he chose the stroller. I might as well just bring it inside! What a monkey. Then he had a good time with daddy while I did some more sewing! I love my guys!

November 28, 2012 - Playing at Hill's

November 27, 2012 - New Teeth
Brigham has two new teeth! His 11 and 12! The 12 came in a few days ago and then I was checking it and there was the 11. His two on the other side are not far behind. I can't wait until he gets them and we can have a slight reprieve from this teething business. I can't wait until they come through and I can get some good pictures! We cleaned the house today...finally and I got some Christmas sewing done. So it was a pretty productive day.

November 26, 2012 - Sick Sick Sick
Well, we were all home today. Joe isn't feeling great, but I am DYING! Not really but I have the flu. Joe was great and let me sleep in and have a great nap this afternoon. I am starting to feel better but still need a good nights sleep. Brigham hasn't seem to have caught it from me so I'm trying to stay away from him to keep it that way. We don't need a sick mom and a barfing baby. The house took the biggest hit and we are living in the filth! Hahahah! But Joe has been great and super helpful and I am so lucky to have a great husband who will help me in all things!

November 25, 2012 - Getting Sick
Joe went to Rebecca's baptism bright and early. I wasn't feeling all that great but Brigham and I got up and went to church. We came home for naps and by the time he was up at noon I was miserable. I could not believe how awful I felt. Brigham and I made it through the afternoon and Hill dropped off some ginger ale. Joe finally got home and took over. I have never been so happy to see him! It was a miserable day, but we survived.

November 24, 2012 - Birthdays for Old People
It was a fairly uneventful morning, we just ran some errands and caught up on a few things. Brigham has now figured out how to climb into the dishwasher. Due to his heftiness, I think the days of playing in the dishwasher are now over! He should have played that out a little longer! In the early evening we went out to Leduc for Joe's grandma's birthday party. November 23, 2012 - Date Night
It was Joe's work Christmas party tonight and so Joe and I got to go out on a little date. The rest of the day was fairly uneventful. November 22, 2012 - Visiting Friends
Well, after a few days stuck at home, I had to get out. I'm still not feeling all that well but I m going crazy. So we went over to Lindsey's this morning. Cooper and Brigham are sooo cute together. It is so neat to see them play together because they are little buddies that are the same size. It's different than when Brig is with Ethan. Then we went to Hill's after lunch because she is finally back from mom's. Kate came over too and we had a good little visit. However, my little crabby pants was on my last nerve this evening and with being sick, I was losing it. So Joe took Brigham out and I had a hot bath and I'm just trying to get better! I have such a good hubby!

November 21, 2012 - West Ed
We went to West Ed to do some Christmas shopping. The mall was nice and quiet so I was grateful for that. After a while Brigham was getting bored, so I took him out of his stoller to putter on the floor and the next time I turned around he was out the store!!! Apparently he can now motor it if he has some motivation. So I got my wares and we were back in the stoller. We only needed one thing so we just stolled around for the rest of the day. We were on our own again for the evening and so we played Brigham basketball. He can put the ball into the little whole now all on his own. It is sooo fun to see him learn new things. He seems to have the malmberg tongue going when he concentrates. This little tongue was out the whole time. So stinkin' cute!

November 20, 2012 - Day at Home
Brigham and I are both still sick and so today, we tried to get better by just staying at home. It drove me nuts and I don't think Brigham liked it a whole lot either. It just felt like there was nothing to do, for me or him. I couldn't do anything because he's a little clingy and not feeling well. So I did have two naps but other than that it was a pretty boring day. Brigham did get in a lot of crawling practice. He has picked it up so fast. He can follow me around the house now as I put things away and clean up. It is cute to have my own little shadow!

November 19, 2012 - Monday Again
Mostly a bosring day today. Hillary is gone to moms and so I don't have anyone to play with. Lindsey works and Pegs is at home, so it was a boring day. We got some groceries today and ran a couple of errands but we didn't do a whole lot. We hung out with Daddy downstairs after supper just to have a change of scenery. He loves pulling himself up on anything he can, but it's resulting in a few bumps and bruises. Fortunately this little face is still as cute as ever.

November 18, 2012 - Holy Sabbath
We had a great day today. Brigham was up a little early and I wasn't sure how church was going to go, but we made it through sacrament pretty well. Brigham was asleep before we even got home! I had a rest with him and then we played downstairs with daddy. I worked on my quilt for Jacob's family and Joe was such a good help with Brigham. We made our awesome sweet and sour chicken for supper and then we just played around with Brig after bath time. I thought he would be a grump but he had a blast romping around naked and causing trouble. I think we have a new little nudist on our hands!
November 17, 2012 - Saturday is a Special Day
Mom and I went out and did a little Christmas shopping this morning while Joe watched Brigham. After naps, life got a little crazy! I was trying to clean and get Pam's bridal shower gift finished, and do laundry, and make lunch, and keep Brigham happy, and Joe was gone helping Landon with tiling. Everything seemed to just kind of hit the fan! But it all came together and Brig and I made it to Pam's shower on time. Joe went to a hockey game with Luke so Brig had to come with me. He was a little crabby, but I had a good time and I was happy for Pam. And I was exhausted by the time I got home!
November 16, 2012 - Unexpectedly Busy
Well, some big plans came up in a big hurry for today. Jacob and his family came up to go swimming for Becca's birthday. So Joe took the afternoon off and we went out swimming with all the cousins! Brigham had a blast. He is my little fishy. He loves to splash and float and get dunked and all of it. He even likes it in the cold pool! I had such a good time seeing my little boy sooo happy. And I love watching his daddy play with him. Then we went out to Sarah and Ray's new house for dinner. We had a good visit and got home just in time for bed. Our tired little monkey was ready for a good snooze!
November 15, 2012 - Gramma!
Gramma came to visit today. She came up to help Hillary and I with our sick kids and our sick selves. Mostly Hillary because Mikael has been working some crazy hours. But I got to go and visit in the afternoon and play with the cousins. Brigham and I had a good time at home too. He is moving around like a crazy man and getting into all kinds of trouble. He gets climbed up on stuff and then he can't get down! What a troublemaker. Then Mom and Kaitlin and I went to West Ed to do some Christmas shopping. I didn't end up getting anything accomplished but I had a good time just visiting. Joe and Bobby took Brigham around too. We met up with them for a few minutes and Brigham was so happy to see me and cried when I left. It broke my heart! I love being his mommy! He is my favorite little guy in the whole world!

November 13, 2012 - Back to Reality
It was nice to have Joe home for Monday, but today I was on my own. Still not feeling all that well and I think Brigham is getting sick as well. He was up a bunch in the night and I took Nyquil so Joe had to take over because I was pretty out! We didn't do a whole lot today. He slept in until nine once he finally got himself to sleep. We went out for some medicine in the morning and then we just tried to stay busy at home in the afternoon. After supper we took Brigham out to keep him awake for a while. He got to watch the fish and the birdies and the kitties at the pet store! What a good little boy!

November 12, 2012 - Daddy Day!
Today mom was pretty busy with a job interview in the morning and a photoshoot in the afternoon, so dad and Brig hung out most of the day. Then we had a little family time in the afternoon and evening. We got some new clothes from our friend Becky and so Brigham got to try out his new bathrobe after his tubby. It was pretty cute and he looked like a big grown up boy. I say it all the time but I can't believe how much he grows every time I turn around. He is always learning something new and surprising me all the time!
November 11, 2012 - Another Lazy Day
Well we got up and off to church this morning. I came home with Brigham for naps, but also because I am still not feeling that great. So we had another rest and hung out. Brigham has now found the button to the tv. That didn't take long. I hope that his interest in it ends soon! We went over to Suelzle's for dinner and then it was off to bed!
November 10, 2012 - Lazy Day
It is always nice to have daddy home. I am coming down with a cold and so we took a day off and were just lazy today. We didn't really get anything done and we just played with our little monkey. We went to Wal-Mart and got him some cars because he really likes the ones his "friends" have. He had a good time rolling them around with daddy. And then dad got a rare snuggle moment while Brigham had his bottle. It was a good day where we all got some much needed rest and some much needed family time!

November 8, 2012 - Hilly Day
Well, we spent most of our time at Hill's today. She didn't have a car so we went to keep her occupied. Brigham and Ethan are starting to play more together instead of just in the same room, although I don't think Ethan always likes it. After supper we went over to rem and Peggy's to meet the new little guy. He is adorable. We took Brigham in his Princess snowsuit to show off. I'm not sure he was too impressed!
November 7, 2012 - Crawler!
I spent most of the day today quilting while Brigham was asleep. We ran a couple of errands in the morning and just hung out in the afternoon. My mister is trying so hard to crawl and he is moving a lot now. He doesn't have all the mechanics down, but he can get from A to B in a straight line and sometimes even on his hands and knees! It is sooo cute! He is also trying to lift himself up onto everything...hence the little creeper picture!
November 6, 2012 - Tuesday
We had a busy day today! Brigham and I ran some errands and played at Hilly's this morning. He got so tuckered out that he fell asleep on the way home. That's not too uncommon, but usually once I stop he wakes up. Today I was able to get this sweet little picture. Joe tried to help me set up my quilt on the frames before he went to Young Men's, but our "helper" was getting in the way a bit. He was being a ghosty for us. I thought it was more fun than quilting anyway!

November 5, 2012 - Busy Day
Well, I had planned a day of cleaning the house and catching up on some things today but it didn't quite go like that. I got a phone call last night from dad that Auntie Joan had had a fall and was in the hospital here. So I did some baking for her this morning and went over to visit this afternoon. She seems to be doing okay but I think she has a little ways to go before she's back to normal. I did get some cleaning and stuff done and got supper made too. But it has been a crazy day. Joe gave Brig a bath and we had a pretty funny little guy in the tub. He is such a goof! Brigham also holds his own bottle now...finally! It's pretty cute to watch him and it's nice to have a few more minutes of occupied time so that I can get a few things done!
November 4, 2012 - New Ward
Well, Brig did fine for daylight savings time thanks to our preparation. It was the first Sunday in our new ward. I'll be honest, I'm not loving it. I am so glad that we have Rem and Peggy and the Orrs. Other than that...but I'll work with it. We took Brigham out for a walk in his new sled again this week. Much more snow and so we had a lot more success! Mac actually pulls him and they both seem to like it! We took dinner over for Rem and Pegs and hung out with them and Peggy's mom. Poor Pegs is a week overdue! But we had a great visit and the boys had a good time with each other. I love how Sawyer can make Brig laugh. It is too cute. I am so glad for the friends that we have in Rem and Peggy!
November 3, 2012 - Visiting Friends
Brig has started playing with the magnets on the fridge and so it is always a nice way to keep him occupied for a few minutes while we are getting something ready for him! We hade a good day today. My mom and Dad slept over last night and we had a nice visit. So they hung around for a bit in the morning and we played with our little guy. Joe went and helped someone in the ward with his garage and so Brig and I were solo for a bit. Then this evening we went to a little party out at Sefciks. It was good to visit and see some friends that we hadn't seen in a while. Plus it kept the little man up just a bit longer for daylight savings time!
November 2, 2012 - More Trouble!
Well little monkey man still can't crawl but it really isn't slowing him down at all. Everytime I turn around he is into something new. He likes to play in the bathroom while I get ready and managed to pull himself up on the drawers today. I think he is quickly entering the land of bumps and bruises. This morning we went and visited over at Lindsey's house. I LOVED it and so did Brigham. Cooper and Brig were loving each other. It was so cute to see them so interested in another little guy their size. And Hudson was playing with Brigham so well. It was an awesome visit and I didn't want to go home. We were excited to have Daddy come home after work and start out weekend even though it was a pretty calm evening with nothing too exciting going on.
November 1, 2012 - Teeth!
My little monkey is working on his upper teeth. Well, one to be specific, but it's one of his canines of all things. Anyway, he has these crazy red cheeks, and he is CRABBY! We are trying to find things to do to keep him occupied but it's not always that easy. We went to Costco to get a few things and Brigham has decided that he isn't happy in the seat part of the cart anymore. So he was King of the World in the front and he loved it!We had a pretty boring day at home today and it was Daddy's Boys Night tonight so we were on our own for the evening too. We've been trying to keep him up later in preparation for Daylight Savings Time, and it has been a little trying. But when he is asleep at night and I look at his sweet little face, everything is worth it! I love my little man!

The big day finally came. Not that it made a whole lot of difference for Brigham. Hillary and I went to gymnastics this morning just to try to tire Ethan out so that he might have a nap. Then when Daddy got home we got Brig all ready to go. We went and met Hill and Mike, Ethan and Jaye at the mall, but they were already done there and it was actually pretty disappointing. So they went home and we went and did a little trick-or-treating. We stopped at the Hechler's and had a really nice visit. Then we visited Brae and Cosette next door. Finally we stopped off at Rem and Peggy's for a quick visit. Sawyer was on cloud 9 and going crazy and he got Brig in on the fun. So Brig had a good time and it was a successful first Hallowe'en!

Well, as my little boy grows he also is on the move. He still can't crawl but he gets himself from A to B somehow. I was in the kitchen doing dishes and I could hear him squawking in the living room but I ignored him for a bit. When I finally came in, I found him like this. What a little trouble maker. Of course Mommy saved him, after a giggle or two!

I can't believe how much my little boy is growing up. We found these big boy jammies in the boxes of clothes we have for him and so we got him all dressed up. He looked so old and it got us to thinking how much he has grown and so we put him next to his teddy bear that we've been measuring him against! He is double the size he was when we first measured him at six weeks. I can't believe how much he is growing up. I love it but sometimes it makes me a little sad! We also go to a sit and sing time at the library and he loves interacting with all the other kids. Tonight we went to Chapters and looked at books just to waste time until bedtime and Brig was doing some standing! It makes him look like such a big boy!

October 28, 2012 - Snow!
Well we've had a little snow here and there so far this year, but there was a little more than usual this morning and so we decided to try out our new sled. There wasn't really enough snow to sled but we took it over to the dog park and pulled him around on the grass. I'm not sure how much he liked it but we got a few smiles out of him and I think he likes going fast! Other thank that it was a lazy day around here and it's going to be hard to get back into the groove for Monday tomorrow.
October 27, 2012 - Halloween Party!
We decided because the ward didn't have a Halloween Party that we would do one ourselves. So we just invited a few of our friends with kids and had a party! We had a few little games for the kids to play and food to eat and other than that we just visited and let the kids romp around! Brigham was a little duck. When we put the costume on him and showed him himself in the mirror he just got all excited. But the hat didn't last long and the outfit came off a bit later cause he got too hot! What a cutie!
